This tiny restaurant served a few uniquely flavored dishes with 6 side dishes is a favorite of the locals. We tried its most popular dish, Taiwanese sour cabbage with beef, which was similar to kimchee beef but without the spiciness. It was pretty good, but a tad on the sweet side (as were the side dishes, except for the stinky tofu). The other dish that we’d tried was its summer special, Thai minced pork with a bit of pepper spiciness. It resembled the Thai Chicken mint leaves except it used pork and much less spicy. It was good, but it was on the salty side. The chef did a good job of modifying traditional dishes with Taiwanese flavor. My favorite was its brown (red, actually) rice and the stinky tofu.
Patrons have to order and pay first (and credit cards weren’t accepted here), then collect your own utensils & water and at the end, patrons have to return used dishes and trays. So it’s like a DIY restaurant.

Read more之前是在社團上看到介紹,想說這全聯旁邊開的新店看來不錯,奔去一吃,大大驚艷。
原本也就想說先看看,雖然對於一個新開的小餐廳,竟然有專屬的印刷菜單,顯然已經不簡單。主廚端來餐點時,叮囑六宮格右下方的紅色美麗球體要先吃,看那精緻的程度,問他是什麼,說是蝦球。由於實在太漂亮,我問他是自己做的嗎,他眼睛發亮,說有看出來喔,然後就說自己曾經在新東南海鮮餐廳任職10年,常常去參加各項獎項。
新東南耶!就是那個超級難訂,大家最愛的台菜代表新東南!我這才明瞭,為什麼這球可以做到像藝術品,而且下面竟然還襯著白米泡,排盤之用心可見一斑。它隔壁的鄰居也不簡單,是老油條,裡面都包著美味的內餡。
六宮格如此高水準,主菜也非常棒,我的川蜀風味雞拌上紅油,讓人一口接一口,重點是襯的番茄等涼拌菜非常爽口,根本在跟主菜搶龍頭。老公點的栗子排骨也很好吃。還有,他的配湯完全不馬虎,極為鮮美。
重點還有,這麼一大套套餐也就三百多,如果是點今天主推的套餐打拋豬肉飯,只要280,有沒有這麼佛心?飯還可以再續一碗,只是量實在已經太多⋯
也讓我很驚奇的是,就一個新開的小店,許多相關設備常見五星級的水準。例如這個六宮格的木格設計,放飯菜的托盤赫然還刻著店名,可見老闆在巷弄中見五星的企圖。同樣的精緻用心,還顯現在牆上的攝影展,牆壁上晚上應該會發光的英文店名,舒適寬大的洗手間,同樣可比五星級的洗手台旁邊竟然還有擦手紙⋯說實在,那一整個托盤放到飯店去,我覺得都毫不遜色,只是價格大約就會飆到500以上~
總之,不要錯過這美味小店,雖然開幕以來已經受到廣大肯定,據說來之前最好都要訂位,老闆還是希望大家多多支持。我的經驗是中午一點以後去位子就還不少,因為上班族已經吃完一輪。
最後,提醒大家吃完後要自助收盤子,今天去看到有一些食客忘記。我想只有減少人事成本,它的價格才可以繼續維持...
