What can I say…. Very very disappointed. I read some reviews complimenting their desserts so I was really excited when I walked pass today and saw that they had a lychee red oolong cake. It was somewhat interesting, not horribly unpalatable, but confusingly unacceptable. To start off, the flavors were there. The aroma of the red oolong tea stood out pretty well as well as the lychee chunks in the filling. The whipped cream was more on the sweet side but quite fluffy. The oolong cream was thick n flavorful. Overall on the sweet side cuz of the powerful fruitiness n juiciness of the lychee. However, the textures of the layers were really weird. The top layer of cake was like a syrup soaked pound cake. It was dense and wet. The middle layer was soft n wet as well and had a weird alcoholic taste to it. The bottom layer was soaking wet. As I can probably see in the video, I could squeeze out liquid like if it were an actual sponge. Overwhelmingly flooded w super sweet syrup like juices. So unsatisfied and very fricking confused by the whole structure. I ordered fresh squeezed orange juice, (yes, I know I shouldn’t hv ordered this at a coffee shop but I’ve already had 3 cups of coffee that day) and it was okay…… but on the watery side. Service was just okay, lotta ppl on their laptops, but my vibe was totally ruined by the disgustingly wet cake……. Also, the slice cost 200ntd. What a...
Read moreI rented an Air BnB right above this cafe & loved it. My only complaint is that it doesn't open until 1:00 pm. I would have loved to roll out of bed and go downstairs for a latte. Cute place with nice staff and a relaxing vibe. Delicious cakes and the latte was better than most I've had in Taipei. The large windows on 3 sides of the cafe make it feel very open and inviting. Definitely worth a visit. I only had the espresso drinks, so can't speak to the drip coffees. Young customers, mostly with laptops. Good place to hang...
Read moreStopped in here for a lovely hot latte and delicious focaccia BLT. The style is industrial wood & iron seating, upmarket (slightly expensive) coffee shop.
I was here during lunch and it was not busy, a few laptop campers but plenty of seats left where other cafes on the same street were full — but this place has a very limited food menu, more of a drinks place.
Menu is bilingual for English speakers and ordering presents...
