We had a great breakfast at an Aussie brunch restaurant, Sincere Rays 貓本. (We found out that 「貓本」mao-ben is a jokey way for Taiwanese to approximate the Aussie pronunciation of Melbourne) 😉
We had the Aussie Breakfast ($328), which consisted of scrambled eggs, toasted sourdough bread, fried mushrooms, roasted tomato, bacon, halloumi, and sausage, and a “long black” coffee ($100). The eggs were perfect — somewhere between silky and fluffy, and the sourdough bread, sausage, halloumi, mushrooms, were also terrific. The bacon was good, generous in portion size but lacking something in flavour. It had a “Taiwan bacon” taste to it. Pretty good, but not as good as the sausage.
The restaurant is small — only 24 seats, so reservations are recommended. Service was good, and the atmosphere too. It’s located in an alley in the northeast corner of Jianguo North Road and Nanjing East Road, with ample parking next door.
We liked it and will...

Both from a business and customer perspective, great place. We'll be back often. Notes for the staff, make sure avocados and bananas are ripe and possible add a dark roast coffee. Add credit card payments and you're...
