We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms offered in Come Inn Taipei. Although the rooms were basic, they offered everything that a budget traveller needs. The air-condition although a bit weak in power, offered adequate cooling and de-humidifying. The TV unfortuantely seemed to only offer local channels, but was wide, flat, and new! There was also a fridge. The bed was comfortable and we slept perfectly. Although our window was overlooking a main street, we could hear no noise. The bathroom was spacious (for Asian standards) and impeccably clean. Water pressure in the shower was phenomenal and hot water was abundant. Even basic amenities like body shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc., were offered. In each floor there was also a water fountain (curiously only offering warm or hot water) for the perusal of guests.||||The owner was very friendly and was always reachable by phone. It was no problem for us to leave our luggage in our room on the day of our departure (to get some more sightseeing done) and then come pick it up later in the afternoon before going to the airport. The location of the apartment is super convenient, being only a couple of minutes away from the MRT Da'an station and with several convenience stores and bakeries within a few hundred meters. Taipei 101 is also very close by (~20 mins on foot), as well as the Liangjing night market (the street food is cheap and very tasty!).||||One minor point is that there is no reception, but rather the owner is around only after phone arrangement and at specific times. This created a minor inconvenience but nothing major.||||Bonus points for the decorated Christmas trees on both floors of the apartment, giving a slightly surreal touch to the...
Read moreThe Come Inn Taipei is not a normal type of hotel, this is an owner ran location. That being said, the property was very very conveniently located just outside of Daan station. The location is also very close to Daan park, only 5 stations away from Taipei Main station, its right on the Red and Brown MRT lines, nearby a ton of great food and very close to the Taipei 101 and various shopping centers. The location of this property cannot be any better! The property is a little bit older and the rooms are smaller. The room we got had 2 bunk beds that had twin size mattresses, this allowed for our family of 4 to be able to stay there. Other rooms have a double bed that would comfortably fit 2 but wouldn't work for anymore. The room that we had also did not have any windows but it did have all the basic amenities needed (shower, toilet, small fridge) There was a hot/cold water dispenser right outside the room with cups available and a laundry machine that could be used for 100 TWDs. No elevators on property. The hot water ran out quick but I believe that was a product of the number of people that stayed/lived in that apartment and the age of the apartment. Overall, while the property was older the convenience and location was unmatched, the owner was fantastic and accommodating and I would highly recommend...
Read moreThis place is very close to the MRT (about 1 min walk.) When you exit the MRT, turn right immediately and walk for one minute. It's just next to a jewel king store and the entrance is a narrow stairs with old brick wallpaper. ||||The owner is very friendly and helpful. The room itself is also well-maintained. They also have free drinking machine inside. Another plus is that they also provide laundry service too for 100 NTD which is very convenient for a solo traveler like me. However, they don't clean the room for you. And the stairs could prove troublesome for those who have heavy luggage. You can also contact the owner via LINE...
