A boutique cafe with specialty coffee, drinks, and desserts. There are three locations, this is the original one. The cafe is cozy with a vintage 20s Shanghai decor.
We sat at the counter and had two pour-overs, a light-medium roast called Figaro’s Wedding, and a dark roast called Black Pearl. It took a while to make because of the care the barista put into making it, measuring out the quantity of bean and the water temperature, etc. Each drink has its own special label, and is served with its own porcelain. The barista was really friendly and let us try the mulled wine and Stone Cold Fox, both of which were excellent. We also had the tiramisu, which had just the right amount of sweetness and rum flavor.
The cafe doesn’t have much seating, but if you do plan on staying for a while, there are convenient power outlets and good Wi-Fi. The bathroom is also worth checking out as it has lots of vintage...

Design: The cafe is furnished with aged furniture. Interior is quite special for Taiwan. Reminds me of Paris or some other old city in Europe.
Menu: mostly tea or coffee, but they also have classical cocktails and some deserts. I tried 2 cocktails and both were nice. Deserts were good too, I’d recommend Creme Brûlée.
Average bill per person: 300-500TWD. Obviously not cheap, but worth it.
I would give them 9 out of 10....

赤い提灯がぶら下がった外観は、九份にある茶店街を彷彿とさせる。たぶん夜の方が店内の灯りが外に漏れ出て、さらに雰囲気を盛り上げるのだろう。
と、俳優の三上博史と真田広之を足して二で割ったような雰囲気を持つポニーテールのマスターが 中国語で話し掛けてくる。「何言ってるか、わかんないっす(汗)!!」ということで、英語でお願いする(笑)。
店内はまるで映画の中のワンシーンに紛れ込んだような雰囲気。深紅のソファ(フランス製?)をはじめ、ランプ、シェード、椅子、テーブルなどのアンティーク家具、額縁、鏡、蓄音機、ミシンなどの各種雑貨類が整然と並び、窓際のカップルまで絵になる。 お手洗いの天井や壁も渋い(古いバスルームだった)。
