Light, Japanese family styled, good quality, and affordable. Price ranged between 150-250 per person. Share dishes with family or friends are available.

This restaurant is the type of the food, that is not fancy but treat you well.

There’s a downside of their food is that some dishes made for a bit a while, and they provide microwaves to heat it up, I know this is super super Japanese, but not what you wish to see or have for lunch or dinner at the 150-200 price point.

But do notice, there are many of their dishes are deep fried food or boiled or teriyaki. If you are looking for something like that, you might be pretty satisfied.

Overall the restaurant is clean and spacious. Also provided with various of options to choose from. Honestly most of their food options are fresh and fit Taiwanese preferences well, nothing to much...

Fantastic Japanese eatery in Taipei. The cuisine is typical of Osaka's style, with plenty of varieties. I wish there were more seating. I'd strongly recommend this place to my friends;)

Updates on 3/16/2022: I had the pleasure revisited this nice restaurant today around 1:30 pm. We were glad that the regular lunch crowds were gone! Some items looked a little dry in front of the cooking counter. So I avoided ordering them. Those hot dishes I ordered directly from the staff were all very delicious. One of the staff members asked me politely before he cleaned the table next to where I was eating. That was the first nice gesture I ever received from this chain restaurant! I wish all their chain restaurants could learn...

When you’re hungry, and just need some protein… this buffet-like Shokudo can help you realize this eager. Just pick the dish you want (usually $50-$150) and you’ll have your whole meal! You can do a teishoku, of course, or go a-la-carte. I like their Udon a lot, but it might be costly when you just want this and that… The place is cozy, servers are very friendly (the lady even help me handle the bowl just because I felt the bowl was burning hot), and the food is ok.
