This place has garnered so much hype, but I feel like the only true reasons for all the hype are the simple and clean logo design and the cinnamon rolls. The thought process of everything else seemed to be very rushed or lacking in experience. Props to the two young ladies running the place since its never easy running any f and b business, but they clearly didnât have very much experience or didnât think through the customer experience very carefully.
the design of the table and chairs were modern and fit well with the color and design theme but were not very practical. My friend put her foot on the foot rest of the bar table and the entire table leaned over/almost toppled over. I sat on the bar stool which was really unstable and almost toppled over myself.
we ordered a cinnamon roll (which was FANTASTIC) but it was served in a paper bag with no napkins or cutlery. I asked for cutlery or something to eat it with and they didnât have any so we had to eat it with our hands. The cinnamon roll is gooey and covered with frosting so itâs kind of a mess to eat it with your hands. Everywhere else Iâve had cinnamon rolls, theyâre usually served with a fork.
the two girls working the shop ordered food delivery and made a big spread of their lunch right on the coffee shop counter and were sitting on customer bar stools to eat their lunch. I felt that this was a bit unprofessional and they should have taken their lunch break either in the back office area or taken turns to eat out somewhere.
there is no bathroom; you need to go next door.
For how nice the shop looks and for such nice marketing (and in the high end luxury daâan area), I expected it to be a nice proper coffee shop, but these issues wouldnât have come up if that was the case. I would definitely come back to pick up a coffee and cinnamon roll to go, but wouldnât stay and sit inside. The place is beautiful and has a lot of potential, so hopefully the owners will take the criticisms in this review and make some...
Read morenice chill space with yummy snacks and delicious coffee. i ordered an americano with a chewy cookie and was very happy ^^
the only complaints i have are
music is nice but deafeningly loud. when i wear my noise cancelling sennheiser momentum true wireless headphones it is the perfect volume to enjoy. staff are unable to lower the volume judging by the way she replied and the other reviews, itâs not an uncommon question
service staff is unfriendly, saw someone else ordering a sandwich and was asking if there was another menu to look at as the main menu (as seen below) doesnât mention them
đ âis this the only menu you haveâ đ©đ» (flatly) âno, whatâs on the menu is on the menuâ đ âthat guy is eating a sandwich but i donât see it on the menuâ đ©đ» âit is a ham sandwichâ đ âso is there anything else?â đ©đ» âwe have an egg salad sandwichâ
it was very tiring talking to her, i felt as though she felt like she was doing me a favour by letting me dine at the cafe đ
but coffee is good so will likely come again if iâm...
Read moreI found a cute coffee shop called FOMO Coffee in Dunhua Taipei. They have drinks , breakfast and desserts. There are some items I want to try like pomelo cold brew, matcha latte and more.
There are many Flavored Lattes and we decided to try the Pandan Latte. It is so so good. Nice Pandan fragrance and not too sweet.
And of course we have to get a regular latte to compare. It is also good âŠit is medium body toward dark ! Slightly on the bitter side .
We wanted to get the Avocado Egg salad but they didnât have it . So we got the egg salad sandwich instead. It has some paprika powder sprinkled on top.. and rosemary mixed in the egg. Toast was a little bit dry for me but overall is good. Employees are nice & friendly.
The space is small . There are two tables inside and 2 seats at the counter. And there is a bench in front of the shop you can sit.
There are milk alternatives. I got mine with oat milk. I will be back to try another coffee & dessert â€ïž Apparently they used to be famous for cinnamon rolls but I...
