Maryjane Pizza - Shida — Restaurant in Da'an District

The best pizza I have had in Taiwan.

The pizzas here are all one size, easily enough to one person, though if you’re a big boy like me you could polish off two of these without much fuss either.

The bread is what really makes this place shine. A thin crust with a snappy, crispy bottom, very light & fresh. It is a perfect compliment to the quality ingredients they use, & because of the quality the store doesn’t feel obligated to overload the pie. Many places I’ve tried in Taiwan & in the USA think that more toppings, more cheese, more oil = better pizza, but I’m of the opinion that a balance of flavors which compliments the bread is what really makes a pizza shine.

I wouldn’t call their product inexpensive, but for about 200NT a pizza, I definitely think you’re getting your moneys worth. I’m also a fan of the unlimited refill...

The issue is not with how the Uber system messed up. It’s more related to the rude attitude from your staff. 1. I did not ask for free food. 2. Pinning this alleged “mistake” on your customer when you yourself had admitted this is an issue that should be dealt with the Uber platform. 3. You have not responded to the poor service quality and rude response from your staff. The attitude of which you are carrying when responding to this review is an indication that you do now take your customers seriously. Nice atmosphere with many creative pizzas.

We like pizza, so we try to visit new places constantly, and to be honest Maryjane was underwhelming. Although they have a large variety of toppings(30+) and we only tried 3 of them. Our problem was the dough. It did not feel right, I am not a chef so I can't pin point the specificics but the dough either was missing something to be perfect.

We really liked the sweet pizza tho, even if the dough was the same, it was kinda of acceptable for dessert. We might come again and give it a 2nd chance but so far...
