Mingyue Tangbo Canguan — Restaurant in Da'an District

Nice services, and that's the only reason why they still having two stars from me, otherwise, will be one star or no star. I came here with high expectations, but left with full of disappointments. First, their "full moon Ciao Long Bao" was less soup and too easy to break the skin, which I don't know is my problem or theirs'. The Scallion cakes were crispy outside, but with pity amounts of chopped green onions. Their house dry noodles also very strange, it's wet. I don't know did their chef do the wrong order or not, and the noodles were like Japanese style soba, what the hell, I didn't expect this. Second, too pricy for this quality of food, which even some Chinese supper stands or small restaurants can do better than them. This dinner cost me 230 NTD, This is Ding Taifeng's prices, but not Ding Taifeng's quality. It will be five stars if you didn’t mention the price. 湯包/ The dumplings coming with soup inside is so tasty, even it is still too hot to swallow, Dad and I just can’t stop eating it. The pricy one cost us 250NTD with crab meat inside. Comparing with other juicy dumplings the dough is a little thicker.

鍋貼/ Is known for the most recommended dish on the internet. It was so crispy and attractive just from looking at it. The taste was good, well, I don’t really care that much about the taste when the texture is so outstanding.

For lunch, we enjoyed delicious dumplings（湯包) of different variations (Pork, crabmeat, prawn with loofah), fried rice topped with kissing fish, steamed cabbage topped with mushrooms and shrimps (this was my absolute fave!!). We also picked two side dishes from the counter: tofu strips with chili; and tofu skin with greens, both superb. All five of us ate to our fill, for a total of twd 1150.

Remember to book a place if going at night in big groups. Consider to ask for the larger/newer location next to Take Out Burger (unless u prefer the quaint vintage but freezing cold original joint along Jilong road)
