My family (2adults 3kids) had a very interesting experience about this hotel especially my wife and kids. They thought I was taking them to a shady underground mafia hideout after they saw the entrance and the caretaker at 1st floor. I purposely didn’t tell them ahead of time so I can see their funny reactions lol. When we got up there at 5th floor they were shocked how nice it is, the receiving area is carpeted and wood furnished. Room is modernized, card key, nice choice of tile floor and wall. Strong hot/cold shower pressure (it gets really hot if you wanted to), towels provided. Free hygiene stuff. Nice air-condition. 3pm-11am is the check-in & check-out time. I had to pay extra to adjust our check out time because our flight out is at 0840pm. You can also leave your luggage at the waiting area if you don’t want to pay extra (I just found that out when we’re about to leave) it’s really up to you. The 5th floor concierge are young friendly English speaking. I can see a lot of teenage/young travelers on a budget will love this place. The hotel’s location is very strategic. They don’t offer breakfast because it’s surrounded by fast foods and restaurants just right outside the hotel 1st floor. It’s a 15 minutes walk to Taipei 101, kids really had fun! (Wish I had taken photos before my kids trashed the room.. but oh well..) Highly Recommended Hotel! You...
Read moreWe family 4, including teenager and preteen stay for 7 nights. Our accommodation is necessary to cost minimal but be nice. Taiwanese summer is notoriously hot and humid which requires AC for someone like us from NY. This place is perfect , has everything what we need under this budget. Of course they don't provide breakfast, gym, and business center but they provide cleanly maintained room with two queen size beds and shower room with a small refrigerator and electric water heater. AC is pretty working well and quiet. For someone who worries about noise from other rooms, we has never heard any annoying sounds so far. Only if someone thinks view and sunlight thru window is important, this will not be recommended. Window has been locked 24 and invisible. Staffs are friendly, English fluent. The huge benefit is location, the center of business area, walking distance to Taipei 101, International Convention Center and City Hall. The Red subway station(Taipei 101) is 5 mins away and tons of opportunities for public...
Read moreDon't be discouraged by the building facade - the hotel is at the 5th Floor, and it is actually very nice. The reception is tiny but welcoming. The corridors are quiet and calm. The room is very spacious and comfortable, so is the bed. I stayed for 6 days and had no complaint. They clean the room, change the towels and replenish the two water bottles everyday. Toiletries are provided. There is a tiny refrigerator, hair dryer and kettle in the room, and a 7-11 on the ground floor - enough to keep tourists's lives nice and easy.
I arrived an hour before check-in time and the room was ready. the receptionist was welcoming, too. The hotel front liners speak English. Checking out was as fast as checking in.
I am glad that I chose this hotel over those in the Ximending and Main Station areas because it is less busier and quieter. Anyway, the hotel's location is excellent - it is only about 5 minutes walking distance from Taipei 101 Exit 2, hence, going around and commuting...
