Why they invented teppanyaki, it is to have hot food prepare in front of you and eat it as soon as they cooked.

Our chef need to be completely retrained. He only cook one item at a time where the dish sometimes require three or four different items to be cooked and to be plated. I understand he wants to make the plating looks like the picture. But serving warm or cold food to the customer is such a disservice to the food quality.

The end result is that all the food he prepared it's warm or cold, because he cook one item and then he put it on the plate and cook the second item and put on the plate and a third or fourth item does the same thing again while the foods are getting cold. Finally he finish the third or the fourth item then he serve you on the plate to be eaten. Any Food just doesn't taste as good when it is cold or warm. Food taste best when it is serve hot off the cooktop. When the foods are all warm and sometimes dry due to moisture evaporation while the food is waiting to be served. So that you can't really taste the umami flavor that they usually have.

When I go to a teppanyaki place I expect the food to be hot and serve as soon as they are finished cooking not waiting for the food to get cold before it's served to us.

I can't believe the owner doesn't understand the process. People come here for the food first and show second. They need to retrain the chef to multitask with time management on each and every dish. There should be no more than two minutes between the first food on the plate to the last food on the plate. This will ensure the hot food gets to...

This is a nice teppanyaki restaurant with good selection of food and professional chefs.

The menu has a good selection of Beef, seafood, lobsters, Chicken, Duck, Pork etc. we had the set lunch which includes Bread, Soup, salad, main course, fried rice, dessert and a drink. They also serve sorbet during the meal which was really tasty.

The chef will talk to you about your food and how you should enjoy it. You can see how skillful they are in the preparation and presentation. He will also answer any questions that you have about the ingredients, sauce used, style of cooking etc, which is very entertaining.

It is advisable to make reservations first as it can be quite busy during lunch hour. We did not make reservation and the receptionist told us they are full. Funny enough, a waitress from inside asked us how many of us. When we told her just 2 of us and she just show us into the dinning room. Not very good for a first impression.

They will give you a little card with stamps that you could used to gather point and become a VIP which give you a 10% off...

We were on holiday in Taipei and made a reservation for Mosun Teppanyaki. It was honestly the best Teppanyaki experience we've had. We haven't found anything close to this in Singapore, in terms of service and food. The ingredients used were of good quality, plating was beautiful and service impeccable. We had with us an 18 month old and his needs were well taken care of. The chef specially prepared a portion of food that had less salt and beef well done for him. After the meal, we were moved to another table for desserts, which was a good move as we could take our time with the desserts without hogging the counter seats. If I really had to nitpick, the interior was a bit too dark for my liking (no natural lighting) but all in all, it was a very memorable dining experience. Would love to go back again on our next...
