First of all: I would definitely give 5-Stars for the haircut, no doubt, and I will recommend and come again for it. Also I must add that the stylist was very friendly, professional and I enjoyed not having to have a forced conversation.

tl;dr - great for hair, poor for beard

But here’s the 2 things why I had to remove 2 Stars: No beverage offered, I at least am used to walking in, being greeted (which was all done) and then be offered a drink (water, coffee or the sorts) since you’re going to be there for a while/coming in the summer heat of Taipei.. Apart from hair I also wanted to get my beard done. For this I cannot recommend Muse, since there was no neck/head support during the shave which was very uncomfortable and subsequently not enjoyable (you have to tilt back your head and hold while the stylist does his/her thing). In addition it was purely done by machine and not with a blade, which for a general result is ok, but overall results (especially when you look closely) are not clean. Now I am not sure if they offer it (wasn’t asked) so I assumed that’s their shaving service. Odd for a...

Went today for a cut and a shave. Made my appointment a few weeks in advance. Although I was generally pleased with the end product, a few things didn't sit right with me and left me thinking I wouldn't go back. First thing was the barber started cutting my hair without washing out any of my old wax and styling products I had in. I've never had a cut where they did this before so i thought it was strange when he didnt wash it out. The next thing was I said i would like a shave as well. He told me he could only do machine shave and showed me an electric razor. Later when he finished my hair he said he had time to do the hot towel shave. I thought my time should be the priority not his next appointment and felt like I was being rushed out. Taiwan has soo much competition when it comes to hair salons and barbers, I feel the standard wasn't there and I'll be looking elsewhere...

Excellent service: Louis makes an effort to remember who you are and how you want your hair cut. And he listens to you when you want to make adjustments. The haircut is efficient and doesn't take unnecessarily long, which I like!

While waiting: They serve you a cup of tea with biscuit, with Hershey's chocolate bar in a container for your taking. Wonderful gesture!

Environment: It's commendable how nicely this place turned out despite the short time Louis had to set it up! First floor is small and clean. I heard that there will be a mini bar in B1. Looking forward to it.

Improvements: Should always wrap customers' hair with towels after the pre-haircut and post-haircut washes. Also, cleaning strands of hairs from customers' faces with towels after the post-haircut wash would be awesome. No one wants to walk around letting people know they just...
