I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sakanakun Don, and it was an unforgettable experience that truly deserves a five-star rating!
From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, a perfect blend of traditional Japanese aesthetics with a modern touch. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every aspect of my meal was perfect.
The highlight, of course, was the food. The donburi was nothing short of extraordinary—each bowl was a masterpiece. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, with the sashimi melting in your mouth like butter. The rice was perfectly seasoned, balancing the flavors of the fish, and the presentation was stunning, showing a true dedication to the craft.
I also appreciated the variety of options on the menu, catering to different tastes while maintaining the highest quality. The portion sizes were generous, offering great value for the price.
In summary, Sakanakun Don is a must-visit for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine. Whether you’re a donburi enthusiast or new to this style of dining, you will leave thoroughly satisfied. I can't...
Read moreAllured by those attractive donburi photos on social media, my friend helped us book this Japanese resto in Da'an District for lunch. . One friend and I both ordered Four-Colour Donburi, which consisted of four types of fresh seafood, namely salmon roe, sea urchin, sweet shrimp and minced tuna. Topped with an runny raw egg yolk, the rice was poured with a sea urchin broth, which complemented the sashimi well and enhanced our appetite.
Another friend ordered Deluxe Sashimi Donburi, featuring nine types of sashimi, including tuna, salmon, salmon roe, oyster, sea urchin, yellowtail, sea bream, mackerel and striped bass. She loved those fatty sashimi with a rich fish oil aroma and omega 3 content. While the standard sashimi like tuna was not particularly surprising, the roe was outstanding and fresh, bursting with fish oil flavor in a delightful way. The oyster was plump and fresh as well.
The restaurant has a wooden-themed interior design, creating a cozy and relaxed ambiance with Studio Ghibli music playing in the background. Although the food was somewhat pricey, indulging in it once in a while...
