I recently had the opportunity to visit the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall, and I must say it's a truly remarkable place. The memorial hall itself is magnificent, with stunning architecture and a rich historical significance.
The space within the memorial hall is vast, allowing visitors to walk around and explore at their own pace. It's impressive to see the various exhibitions and artifacts that pay homage to Dr. Sun Yat Sen and his significant role in Chinese history.
However, one note of caution is that when I visited, it was a particularly sunny and hot day. The lack of shade and the intense heat made the experience slightly uncomfortable. I would highly recommend planning your visit during cooler months when the weather is more pleasant, as it will allow you to fully appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the memorial hall without concerns about the scorching sun.
Despite the weather, I still enjoyed my visit to the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Chinese history and...

Read moreThis should have been a most important memorial museum for Taiwan and yet the whole place is treated like a community hall of a small town, with perhaps the only exception of the sparkling uniformed MP.
The building itself was not well built. Considering the financial difficulties of this island country, this can be forgiven. Its extremely poor maintenance is, however, unforgivable. The important documents of Dr Sun’s revolution are presented in a way that one can feel that the curator doesn’t really care if you can see or read them at all. Needless to say, there is zero consideration for lighting and layout of the exhibits or the space.
Without Dr Sun, there would have been no republic, and consequentially Taiwan would have been a very different place. It is disrespectful of the nation to so severely neglect this important part of their history. Considering the glamour and wealth the Taiwan today can afford, the state of this museum is a disgrace of their very...
