Taiwan is the land of some of the greatest great cuisine, the only exception is Cantonese food. Has someone who grew up in the San Gabriel valley of Los Angeles I know Cantonese and dim sum very well, taiwan's Cantonese food scene is really sub par and lacking. I noticed that they do serve 滑蛋蝦仁飯,and 吃炒牛河,but when I asked the hostess if she could do 食草滑蛋蝦仁河粉, she kept saying that they don't have it on the menu I said well you have this and this can't you just replace the rice with noodles and she just kept saying that she couldn't do that and they don't make that and when I finally decided to suggest that she just make the original rice dish and switch the rice for noodles ask the chef if you can do it for me she proclaimed they can't do custom orders...it was true Jack Nicholson "Five Easy Pieces," moment. We ordered over $2,000 worth of food, the tea came in a bag which was the first bad sign Cantonese Dim sum is always loose leaf. The ordering experience was really cumbersome and annoying by having to scan a QR code and order it ourselves... The Phoenix claws were small and had no taste, they cut the crispy pork completely wrong, the steamed beef ball was stuck to the dish and didn't have any water chestnut, and was flavorless, the vegetables were overcooked and yellowing...the 雜糧糖粉 was good, the duck had good flavor and the duck sauce was excellent... Just to add another nail in the coffin the 菠蘿包 was deflated and small, and they added cinnamon on the cappuccino even when we asked not to...Overall very disappointing. Atleast the poor attitude and bad service was authentic. But the lack of good food and a long wait beforehand made the experience difficult. Would...
Read moreGreat for a hearty meal. Had to wait about 30 minutes when we walked in during dinner time but service was relatively quick. Contrary to the other reviews, we actually enjoyed the non-dimsum items more. Stir fried veggies was excellent. The sweet and sour pork was also good as well as the beef satay noodles. Also recommend 梅林牛小排 and a fish fillet with tofu dish I can't quite recall the name of. Fried rice was so-so as well as the rice rolls, har gow and chasiu (although I guess you can't compare to the kind you get in HK). Overall, still a great meal and especially convenient when you get late...
Read moreGood food, fast dishes delivery But the attitude of one of the waiters (wear black hat, not too old) is VERY RUDE. When we asked to help cleaning our table as it was full of dishes, he just rejected directly without any explanation. Another time when we asked for packing food, he did not look at us at once but tossed his angry face to another waitress and told us “ASK HER TO HELP YOU”. Understand there were many customers and it was busy, but at least you need to maintain a good attitude AS A POLITE PERSON! I have eaten many restaurants, and never met such RUDE of attitude before. Will never...
