Hands-down one of the highlights of Taipei. Incredible atmosphere and even more spectacular singers on stage. Super professional, humorous, and easily one of the finest voices around. Some, if not most of them are reputable Chinese singers who have even created their own song albums throughout their career and taken part in national singing competitions (and winning it!). Still can't believe I had the opportunity to witness some of them sing live, albeit for only 45minutes in each set. One night has 3 different singers and you can check out their schedule via their Instagram page or simply call in. Booking is super highly recommended in advance, otherwise, you have to purchase the standing ticket (at the same rate) too. It's about NT$900 to NT$1000 per pax for weekdays and Fridays/Weekends respectively - extremely worthwhile and not to be missed, especially if you are a Mandarin pop fan, young or old. Tickets can also allow you to redeem their super potent cocktail jugs (which can pour up to 5 cups each) - this is the most worthwhile compared to using it for food (which is better off using Cash instead). They are super foreigner friendly as well and you can easily spot visitors from Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and even USA in the crowd. Live music starts from 945pm and goes all the way till 1230am, with 15minutes break in between...
Read moreWe had heard that this bar, known for its live band performances, is usually fully booked on weekend nights—so we were lucky to score a table on a Sunday evening and decided to check it out.
The venue is styled like a classic bar, and entry requires the purchase of a voucher that includes two drinks. To our surprise, the cocktails were served in generous jars—perfect for a fun night out. We also ordered some wings and fries to go along.
Guests are typically seated by 9 PM, and the live band kicks off around 9:45 PM, performing all the way until 1 AM. Most customers start by ordering drinks and snacks before the show begins.
By the time the music started, the place was packed. Latecomers had to stand or settle for less ideal spots, so it’s best to arrive early. With some luck, you might get a better seat—but for parties of two, expect to be placed along the side.
Throughout the night, three singers took turns on stage. They engaged actively with the audience and even took song requests, creating a lively and interactive atmosphere. All in all, it was a great experience—definitely...
Read moreAtmosphere scoring full stars of course because of the crowd that I had there. The singers and the crowd were fantastic and I had a great time there.
It is located opposite Shangri-La Far Eastern together with The Mall. However, do alight at Xinyi Anhe station if you are traveling by train. But I think Da'an station is alright too. But Xinyi Anhe is straight forward route to Ez5. It is about 14 mins walk.
Reservation is best recommended. The first singer will start at 2145 so it is best to arrive around 2130 as staff recommendations although they opens at 2000. But seriously you will not have anything to do in there until the singer starts. There is cover charge to pay and it is 2 points per ticket. It can be used to purchase small bites or alcohol of...
