petit doux cafe — Restaurant in Da'an District

This restaurant offered a complex dining experience for me. To start off with, the dishes display creativity and nuance - whoever heard of a boba flavored pancake? That was what I ordered, as soon as I heard that it happened to be their signature dish. The baked pancake itself was almost perfect - the texture resembled sponge in addition to the mochi stuffing inside the pancake.

As for the customer service, I was more than astounded by their sincerity and hospitality. My meal wasn't served for more than 30 minutes - which I found out was due to them accidentally losing track of their tasks/orders. The situation was handled brilliantly - their attitude was great, and in compesentation for the delay, my meal was granted free of cost as a sign of their sincerity.

Overall, I was genuinely pleased with the service that I went through here - not many restaurants in Taiwan offer...

Their waffle is really good and normally this place is quite busy at noontime. Today I went there because they have promotion in their menu. 起士牛肉鍋買一送一 But you are only told at the spot that the 2nd free hotpot is for next time you visit( they didn’t mention in their promotion), which means you only get the free one on the next visit. It is not what we expected and I am not happy about this, since I need to go back again and probably will end up consume more. The reason i believe is that they hope people to come more often. But I think they are already pretty busy during lunch time so you don’t get good quality of the device because of this. So, just to share with some people who might be motivated to go there for this. Ps: also, personally I don’t recommend their cheese...

Walked by this place few days ago and got a business card hoping to try it out and today had the chance. Walked in just around 6pm and inside looks nice. Ordered Stewed cowhells Spagetti with spicy sauce 麻辣慢燉牛筋義大利麵, Spicy pig caudal 膠原尾椎麻辣燉, Steak with garlic white wine sauce 白酒沖銷牛燉肩, and Pumpkin soup 鮮南瓜濃湯. All the dishes were very light on the taste, specially the soup appears to have no salt at all. Only the spaghetti had enough taste. All in all, its fine.
