Nanfang Dumplings — Restaurant in Hengchun

we had a great experience here! the dumplings were amazing and authentic. i wouldn't necessarily recommend their noodle dishes; they weren't as good as the dumplings. cucumber salad and braised food platter were good. it is very do-it-yourself; they have two carts for sauces, cutlery, and more. service is very efficient and nice. you pay up front and it seems like they are pretty used to foreigners. it is relatively cool inside and a nice reprieve from the south taiwan heat. one note, however: the bathrooms are not the best and could be upgraded.

Very value for money!!! I highly recommend to try if you pass by Hengchun area. We went during lunch time at about 12.45-1.00pm and there’s a long queue. We have to wait 8 tables before it’s our turn and luckily we only waited for 15 minutes to be seated.

It's a great dumpling spot for the local standard, which is high. We loved the dumplings wrap texture, al dente. The filling was excellent, and the dumplings match the quality from Northern China! We had a mixed cold dish plate as well as the pork soup which was prepared like braised beef soup, delicious! The place is spacious and the service was fast and precise.
