KURA SUSHI Hsinchu Big City Branch — Restaurant in Hsinchu

Today, January 1, 2025, we went to a restaurant, hoping to sample their food. We were aware that there were plenty of people, my wife asked for a table for two, and we were willing to wait in the queue.

As foreigners working here in Taiwan, we cannot speak or read Chinese fluently. However, one lady was very rude, speaking in Chinese, making faces, and pointing to a sign that said the queue had ended and they couldn’t accommodate more customers. (After translating, I understood what she said.)

I understand that she might have been tired, but being impolite to potential customers is unacceptable. I also work as a waiter, and no matter how tired I was, I always managed to smile and respond politely.

Please remind your staff to be respectful and respond...

Totally automated sushi restaurant. Good sushi for conveyer belt sushi, quite inexpensive. Equivalent of US$40 for two people and 4 beers. Menu displays are in English as well. After every 5 dishes, you get a chance to win a capsule toy (gashapom); kids love this. If you've never eaten at a restaurant like this, couple of things to know: 1- slide the plates into the slot when you're done (each plate is the same cost); 2- grab a tea cup on top of the conveyer console, and fill up at the table; 3- use the tablet mounted above the conveyer to order items not appearing on the belt (inc. drinks); 4- when you're done with your meal, again tap the appropriate command on the tablet to...

Foods there are fresh and staffs are friendly. It would be better to use the app E排客 to make a reservation in advance. Here are two things I would like to suggest,

Cannot use QR code to make an order compare to other branches, meaning the price for some orders like chawanmushi or tempura will not be count in the cashapon game. Lower probability of getting a giveaway than other branches. Unknown error while...
