Today, January 1, 2025, we went to a restaurant, hoping to sample their food. We were aware that there were plenty of people, my wife asked for a table for two, and we were willing to wait in the queue.
As foreigners working here in Taiwan, we cannot speak or read Chinese fluently. However, one lady was very rude, speaking in Chinese, making faces, and pointing to a sign that said the queue had ended and they couldn’t accommodate more customers. (After translating, I understood what she said.)
I understand that she might have been tired, but being impolite to potential customers is unacceptable. I also work as a waiter, and no matter how tired I was, I always managed to smile and respond politely.
