Overall, enjoyable lunch. Having some experience with Singaporean food, here’s an honest take: Hainan Chicken Rice - good, but not amazing. Flavour is there, missing some depth. Shrimp cake - excellent, my favourite dish of the meal Kaya toast - oh-Kay. Too much butter, not enough kaya on one of the slices. Bread was toasted well. Satay- have to say, quite disappointed. The satay sauce did not hit the spot and was way too little for the 6 skewers we ordered. Meat did not taste very fresh and was slightly over marinated. Teh tarik and Thai milk tea were alright. I had only a Laksa Pork noodles. I’m a big fan of Laksa, been to Singapore, Malay and Thailand tasted a lot of versions of Laksa so I am tough on this one.

With the price, a bit overpriced in Kaohsiung and its quality. Of course it’s clean and decent decoration, the taste lacks the unique aroma of Laksa, just not there. Worth your first try and other food, they also offer Kaya Toast and Chicken rice, but again a bit overpriced...
