LORACORLO Israeli Cuisine 異國料理-以色列料理 — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

I’m reviewing based off of multiple orders via 2 different food delivery platforms (Uber eats & their in-house delivery via Lalamove).

Food has always been satisfactory, but throughout the years I have noticed the quantity per dish decreasing by minute amounts (ie the Hummus).

This time because the food took over an hour to arrive, the rice & pastina were all soggy and stuck together, and falafels were cold.

Ordering directly from them gives you in house menu prices, where as ordering from 3rd party delivery services earns you a +15% premium on the food.

My main unfortunate gripe this time was the waiting time, and lack of communication from the store regarding the order I made via their own website/line account.

A requested delivery time of 5:15 resulted in an actual delivery arrival time of 6:15; unfortunately it seems that their usage of Lalamove for this delivery did not permit them to cancel and/or request a different deliverer.

As I was on my way to pick it up myself, the delivery driver finally arrived at the restaurant; only to get lost on his way to the delivery address.

Although this situation seems to be something completely out of their hand, I would’ve appreciated some extra effort on Loracorlo’s end to handle this situation.

tl;dr: Ordered online for 5:15 delivery. Food arrived 6:15, with very little effort to remedy situation.

The Loracorlo Israeli Cuisine is a cozy, authentic Israeli restaurant located at Zuoying, Kaohsiung. Its modern, open kitchen layout creates a friendly ambiance to enhance customers’ dining experiences. When we ate at Loracorlo, on the second night of Hanukkah, the chef-owner shared his culinary and cultural heritage with us. Our super attentive server Carol, Loracorlo’s co-owner, helped us navigate menu items with unfamiliar ingredients. Because of her help, we chose the dishes we enjoyed very much. We loved their smooth and creamy hummus, well seasoned and tender grilled chicken kabobs. In addition, we loved their fluffy, made from scratch Israeli pitas. Also, my husband and I both liked Baba Ganoush, a small side dish that was made of eggplant, our least liked vegetable. If you’re into delicious authentic food, you won’t be disappointed...
