Chii! Gelato — Restaurant in New Taipei

Located directly across Lehua Night Market, this gelato shop has been making its rounds on social media lately so we decided to give it a try. They recommended the Tiramisu and the Pistachio Trilogy ($145 NT each). They do make their cones fresh and to order, so there may be a slight delay after ordering. There’s not much of a seating area, so most customers take their ice cream to go.

The tiramisu is solid but does melt fast, and the workers recommended eating as fast as possible so it wouldn’t melt and drip everywhere. They also recommended eating the ice cream with the whipped cream on top to give it the full tiramisu flavor. The pistachio trilogy held up a little better, and the extra crushed pistachio on the outside was solid.

Overall, would come back if I’m looking for gelato...
