Iced coffee was good. Cappuccino was terrible. It had basil in it, which tasted so weird. The staff was quite rude. Both staff members (one might be the owner) were rude and gave off a sense of arrogance rather than an eagerness to please customers so they would want to come back. We arrived at 5 PM, and the place was almost empty, which is not unusual for a café. We were a group of four and spotted a table for three that could easily accommodate four. We proceeded to move a chair so we could all sit together. They rushed over immediately and said we could not move the chairs. Fine, so they are weird about customers moving chairs. We chose another table that had enough chairs for all of us. We noticed that they had a sign on the tables with a list of rules, and one of them stated, “Do not move the antique chairs.” I suspect there might be some confusion between the words “antique” and “old.”
We proceeded to order and asked the waitress if they had any drinks that did not have caffeine. The waitress pointed out a drink, but my 5-year-old son didn’t want it. We saw that they had fruit tea on the menu and asked how the fruit tea was made so maybe we could modify it for my son. She said it’s hot tea with real fruit and honey. We asked if we could just get the fruit and honey and add hot water instead of tea. She said she could not, as that’s how they make it and the flavor would be off. We told her that’s fine, but this is how we want it made, so why can’t she do it? She kept saying she could not. We told her that we know it won’t taste the same, but our son will be fine with it as it is basically honey water. She utterly refused to make this accommodation and kept saying the same thing about how this is not how they make it and the flavor won’t be the same. It was so frustrating how simple-minded she was being, especially if a customer is acknowledging the results and the request is not unreasonable. Definitely would not spend my...
Read moreGreat location and atmosphere but the waffles are a little heavy and the service is a bit slow. The almond milk tea was nice.
Im a little disappointed the food isnt that good because the space rocks in terms of a cool environment to sit and enjoy coffee. That might explain the low ratings on google.
The coffee is quite good so if you are just into that you will probably love the place. The environment does have a relaxing feel...try it and see. Im always curious to see what...
