Kengai Coffea — Restaurant in New Taipei

Tried the Alishan honey processed coffee. It was excellent. Expensive but excellent. To be fair, most Taiwan grown coffee is expensive anywhere you go. Will definitely come back to try others. Coffee: top notch. Service/knowledge: top notch. Vibe/ atmosphere: hip, clean, comfortable. Was ready to smash five stars but almost spilled my coffee on account of a super unstable table :/ haha, nothing's perfect I guess. 7/10 update. I rarely sit inside and drink coffee here, I usually just buy their excellent beans. Having some extra time today, I was happy to see their stable tables, and that's no fable! I'm sure I could nitpick something if I tried but I'm happy to give this place my first 5/5...

I just moved here from New York. I'm a very enthusiastic coffee person, and I know my coffee taste. So any barista there will offer the best coffee to match your choice and preference. No kidding. On top of that, I don't speak Chinese very well, and they don't speak English very well either, but they still showed the best attitude, super friendly, and open-minded staff.

This is the second time I go to this cafe and honestly, the coffee is great sure, but what I like the most is the atmosphere and decoration of the place, and the music, wow, just top notch. From Fleetwood Mac to The War on Drugs, really good stuff.

Last time I went there it was all indie, today it was classics from the 70s and 80s, makes remote work feel like a dream. Don't steal my spot by the window on the second floor!...
