McDonald's — Restaurant in New Taipei

Today is monday 4/29/2024 the day of the opening AFTER the renovation and all I have to say is WHY. why did you remove the indoor upstairs dining area??? Employees now actually have to take the tray of food outside (next door) than go upstairs and hand it to customers than go up again and collect all the trays (dont tell me you cant put trays there anymore either). Seriously who has time for that. Why cant customers do that themselves (they were able to when you had an indoor dining area). That's so weird. I don't know any mcdonald's like that anywhere. I liked it the way it was before because it made sense. Now it feels so cramped like I'm ordering in a box at least put up more machines so a total of 6 machines not 3. At least EXPAND the space not make it smaller. Absolutely hate the new renovation/design. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and a complete waste of money. So weird.

This place has the tiniest entrance out of all the McDonald’s I’ve ever visited around the world. One night I ordered McFlurry but the place was so packed to the point many people had to wait outside on the street. So was I. When my order number came up on the screen in the “served” section I went up to the counter to receive my order but somehow it wasn’t there. I asked one employee and she said it wasn’t ready yet. (So weird because it says it’s served on the screen) so I was waiting outside again for like 5 more minutes. My number had disappeared on the screen so I asked again where my order was. Went here today because the other nearby McDonalds is shut for renovation. Queues were huge and they’re clearly killing it from a business perspective while the other one is shut. Breakfast was good and the addition of self serve machines helps speed up the lines and reduces waiting time. Inside they had a lot of staff working to keep up with demand, which was great to see.
