Saizeriya — Restaurant in New Taipei

Love this place. From Japan, Osaka, Taipei, and now Taiwan. Saizeriya is my jam. All the spaghettis and pizzas are decent, but what stands out is the sauteed garden snails 🐌 I love garden snails. For all my life I have longed for some tasty scrumptious garden snails. Exhilarating! Not to mention if you watched that vet tv show where that poor dog accidentally swallowed some snail baits and went into seizures. The dog was so confused and I couldn't help but feel extremely bad for him. Luckily the owner noticed it fast when she got home and got the dog treated soon, otherwise....

There is nothing special about this place. The squid ink pasta was mediocre. The focaccia was bland and flavorless. The steak was not good. The salad was too rich because of the Caesar dressing. The service was fine. There were no drinks or sides included (some other Italian restaurants in Taiwan have free drinks and soups). Overall, this place isn’t terrible but it’s not worth going out of your way to eat...

Cheap Italian dishes with some Taiwanese flavors and influences. Portions are pretty small though and require you to order a few things. There's an unlimited drink bar if you choose to order but there's nothing special other than typical sodas and coffee. Seats are really small, especially the booths, but the interior is nice. Workers seem kinda grumpy...
