BREMEN — Restaurant in Shilin District

I was a walk in customer when I passed by. I was attracted by the long waiting line, which was outside the store, so I decided to give it a try. After the first try, I consider that this is the restaurant which I could visit again and again. They provide many choices on their menu. The most special thing is that we can decide the materials in our meal. For example: At first, I can choose the main material (e.g. chicken, vegetable, shrimp with scallop…) then choose the sauce. (e.g. tomato sauce, cream sauce…) The next step is we can decide we want rice or pasta. At the end, we can choose if we need to add chili or not. Additionally, they can provide for a bigger amount of the meal if you need, of course for free. This kind of design make me feel free to decide what I really want to eat. I think this is a good mode of ordering. Food ★★★★★ I think their pasta was worth of ordering. The material they used seemed fresh. The chicken inside the pasta was soft. Besides, the smell of tomato was really good. The tomato tasted a little bit sour and sweet at the same time and we could tasted the tomato inside the noodles and chicken. Although it was only NTD130 something, it tasted more than it costed. For the corn soup, we could taste the flavor of cream and lots of corn inside. I really think they have a good chef. Environment ★★★★ The decoration there was modern. They put some pictures on the wall and the light let me felt warm. I think the environment was too small. Some seats are too close to their neighbor. We could easily hear what others were talking. Although the design of their tableware were cute which hung on the wall, due to the seats it was quite inconvenient to take. Maybe they could lower the number of the seats to make the environment more comfortable. Besides, the floor of their restroom were wet when I used it, so there were a lots of footprints on the floor. It seemed dirty. I suggest that they could assign their staff to check their restroom maybe an hour for one time in order to insure the cleanliness of the environment. Price ★★★★ The price was affordable comparing to other stores. Besides, they provide black tea which we could drink continuously. The quality of food they provide was really good for me to visit...

Big, massive disappointment. Was extremely excited to find mate on the menu, just to make sure, I confirmed with the person running the place that we were talking about the same South American drink... Minutes later he comes back with a cup of hot water with a sprinkle of leaves barely visible at the bottom. In short I was charged NT320 plus service charge for hot water. When I advice the manager that we might had been talking about a different drink for that didn't resemble mate at all, he answered in the most patronizing way that, "that is the way taiwanese people drink it" On a different note, thee bathrooms aren't well kept and the shop floor looked messy with stacks of cardboard boxes...

Small two story Pasta store in Shilin district that will give you some big surprises. The taste of the pasta are on the heavy side, and if you like cheese, this is the place to have a quick and decent Italian meal. They are able to serve quickly and offers additional pasta serving at no additional cost. It's a semi self serve service where the client picks up his/her own utensils, paper napkins, and drinks.
