野人火鍋 台北總店 — Restaurant in Songshan District

Ive never written a bad review ever so this is a first for me.

I came on a cold, wet, rainy night. Arrived at 730pm. Got in, asked for a table of 2.

Staff told me there were 4 groups waiting ahead of me. I was 5th in line.

I saw 2 seats at the bar seating area and asked if i could take that, knowing that people normally dont like seating at the bar.

Staff said no. Those seats were reserved.

Half an hour later i realised 7 groups had gone ahead of us. I asked why. Staff said its because 3 groups had reserved via an online app.

So i said she should say then there are 7 groups ahead of us. Not 4.

Bar seats are still empty.

830pm we are still not in. Bar seats are empty. I asked again. She said oh the bar seats were reserved for 845pm. I asked why then at 730pm she wont give me the seats. She said its because they have a 90 min eating policy and so they couldnt give that to me as i would only have 75 mins to eat.

I can tolerate a lot in a meal. Service could be bad. Food could be expensive. Seats can be shared. All good.

But inflexible staff who make guests stand in line outside in the cold AND while accepting reservations from people not freezing outside is...

Savage shabu is the name if you can read Chinese letters (but you need to google it then it will take you to google maps, for some reason it didn’t come up on google maps using the English name).

It was a recommendation from a friend who lived here (we went fot lunch) I am not generally a fan of hot pots but boy, this is goood! Individual portions and lots of meat options. We went for the beef and it was very tender. Service is very good a they are very friendly and accommodating even if they might not...

The quality of meat is good, but there’s no variety of sauce to choose from, so it gets boring after awhile of dipping into the same sauce again and again.
