川田屋 — Restaurant in Taichung

Stumbled upon it while walking around Fengjia Night Market! Highly recommended - broth was rich but not overly salty. We asked for al dente noodles and they were cooked perfectly. Char siew was soft and melty, with a beautifully charred outside that lends a slight smokey taste. Egg was also well cooked! We could not find any fault with this ramen at this price point - in fact if he charged an additional 50NTD a bowl we would have gladly paid it.

We chatted briefly with the owner and his love for ramen and his desire to serve high quality ramen is evident:) Shop’s been around three years and was full of regulars when we walked in. We were lucky enough to score the last two bowls of ramen for the night at 7:45pm. He preps limited quantities every day and will close early...

We had the thick series ramen (left in pic) and the normal tonkotsu ramen (right in pic). Owner warned me that the thick is very thick and asked for my confirmation. It was indeed very thick and rich! Very nice if you want to try a broth that has a consistency closer to a gravy. Unfortunately we couldn't see the cat, guessing it was sleeping since we went during noon. Can tell that the owner cares very much about the quality...

逢甲巷子內的平價拉麵，有貓！ 店內座位不多，應該最多10個位置而已 只能走路或騎機車過來

5點多過來店內只有一個客人 店貓會很隨性的在位置旁邊走來走去或是互動

這次點了叉燒豚骨拉麵$130 台灣的拉麵店很少看到這個價位還可以客製化湯頭麵條跟配料的 對於不喜歡吃太鹹的人來說真的很貼心～

豚骨湯頭我是選擇 淡（台灣） 是好喝且不會太鹹的湯頭，也不是那種粉泡出來的湯 湯上還有漂浮一點點油脂，但是喝起來不會覺得太油 很順口
