The toilet of room 328 was reeking of a pungent sewage smell, the type you can smell from some drains. After requesting for a room change on the first night, we were informed that there were no other rooms available and one staff member helped us install a machine to remove the smell. But on the next day, the smell returned. Anyway, I saw other reviews mentioning a similar issue about a smelly toilet so I am not sure if it will/can be fixed, it might be a sewage pipe issue for the entire building.
On the bright side, the staff member was very apologetic and helpful when helping us remove the smell, and also offered to buy us breakfast the next day. Other than that, the balcony is not usable since it's just facing the inner alley of the opposite building and you will end up just closing the window anyway. The location of the hotel is very close to the night market which is great. But in all, it is very hard to recommend staying with that sewage smell no matter how cheap...
