This steakhouse was our favorite among family members and friends, but I was very disappointed on the quality of food and abnormal service. Somehow many things seem changed after renovation. I would give only one star, but I want to give another try to see if they can improve themselves.
The onion soup was not legit, it was like good instant soup. The appetizer was not using fresh materials and it was adding wrongful dressing. A piece of sushi had bad rice which tastes like leftover rice from last night. The baked potato was microwaved, it is my first experience that a baked potato is coming out from the microwave. Steakhouse should not use the microwave!!! The steak, the main dish, it was not tender as before, I assume it is using frozen beef. I can get better beef with much lower price from a supermarket. The tiramisu was not even fresh, it is massive production type of dessert from 3 days ago.
When it comes with service, I felt uncomfortable that the waitress was kept watching us eating. Please give us some privacy! I understand that they want to show ‘care’ for customers, but it’s not necessary standing behind and watching us eating all the time.
I have noticed to the manager about the quality of food got worse, but I didn’t bring out the waitress behavior. It seemed the waitress is newly hired without getting much training.
I will give one more try sometime soon. If they improved, I will give better feedback and come back again. If I feel uncomfortable and wasting the money, they will eventually lose our business. Hopefully they get back to the quality and service how it...
Read moreVery good Teppanyaki in Taichung! Use the elevater to get to the second floor. Choose one of the basic sets with the meat you like and you will not be disappointed. Ok, it is not cheap, around 2200 to 6000 NT for the compete set (per person, including tax) but I think it is worth the money. There are also some cheaper options, but if you want some good beef, then you have to spend this amount. The service is very attentive, however they can more or less not speak English at all. So it helps if you know some Chinese. So far I have been here three times and I guess I will come again the next time I...
Read moreFood in the tepanyaki restaurant was outstanding...beautiful and lovingly prepared by the good humoured chef...👍🏼 our group of seven went through seafood, beef (the rib-eye was amongst the best beef I’ve eaten anywhere in the world), chicken (tandoori?) and then fabulous special fried rice like I’ve never had before...nom nom
The staff in our private dining room were very pleasant and extremely attentive.
The traditional banana fritter dessert was its traditional worldwide self...dull & uninspiring I’m afraid.
Looking forward to coming back next time I’m...
