Food quality is way behind MIK-2 in Taipei, but the overall ambience makes me give it 3 stars.
Tried Dal Makhani, Aloo Gobhi, Chilli Paneer and Samosa with friends. We all felt the same way - the samosa was good, but the rest lacked any depth in flavour whatsoever. They weren't bad, but there are other places in Taichung that are both cheaper and better. Good live performances and ambience though.
The service was a little lacking. I believe very few people were working since the restaurant is still new and fairly empty on weekends. I had to chase down a couple of staff members to mention issues in the dishes.. However they were kind enough to offer a replacement once I mentioned the issues.

The Indian food is authentic and delicious. They have parking at the hotel and it is easy to find out parking nearby too. The paneer, tandoori chicken or breads, all were fantastic and me, my friends enjoyed the new MIK...

Chicken tikka masala was ordered mild/no spice (as to share with our child) - it was spicy and almost inedible as the sauce was very fishy like prawns had been cooked in it and been taken out! The Tarka Dahl was like dishwater and tou would have needed a straw to drink it. The vegetable pakora was ok, although does not travel well as a takeaway, without reheating and crisping up in an oven. (But that’s ok and to be expected).
Overall really really disappointing considering other...
