A Disappointing Experience!!!
During my travels in Taiwan, I’ve stayed in various hotels, but my experience at Hotel Kuei was unfortunately the most unpleasant.
Unwelcoming Staff: Upon arrival, the staff were noticeably unfriendly. There was a distinct lack of hospitality, as they did not even offer guidance to find my room, a basic courtesy expected in the hospitality industry.
Misleading Room Description: The room advertised as having a king-sized bed was misleading. It was, in fact, two twin beds combined, poorly disguised under sheets. The noticeable split between the beds was uncomfortable and not what was promised.
Poor Cleanliness: The hotel’s overall cleanliness was severely lacking. The walls were visibly dirty, and the bathroom tiles appeared to have been neglected for years. This raised concerns about hygiene and potential health risks.
Bedding Quality: The bed sheets were in a dire state, marked with unidentifiable stains. This is unacceptable in any lodging establishment and significantly impacted the comfort of my stay.
Unreasonable Charges: On checkout, the receptionist charged me approximately 10 USD for supposedly damaged door keycards. These are typically inexpensive plastic cards, and the charge felt like an unwarranted attempt to extract extra money from guests.
In conclusion, my stay at Hotel Kuei was far from satisfactory. The combination of poor service, misleading room descriptions, lack of cleanliness, and unreasonable charges makes it a place I cannot recommend. Travelers seeking a pleasant stay in Taiwan should consider...
Read moreI initially had some concerns after reading recent Google reviews, but fortunately, my stay was overall positive. The check-in staff was welcoming. The room was ok, with a good point from the large window - a nice touch for the price. While the bed wasn't the best, it was comfortable enough. The cleanliness was ok, and being on the 6th floor meant we didn't experience any street noise. A highlight for me was the bidet button in the toilet, which was really convenient as a Muslim guest. I also appreciated the presence of an Indian halal restaurant on the 2nd floor, although we didn't have time to try it. Overall, I'd say this hotel offers good value...
Read moreFor the price it offered, this seems like a good deal. The smell of Indian food at the hotel lobby is a bit offensive for my personal taste. The staff is not the most friendly. They started to charge $250 extra for parking which really is not that nice. Room is small but clean. Bathroom is somewhat clean. There is one corner at the shower area that water stands, it’s a bit scary for me to go in and out. But water pressure is strong. Overall, the value and the quality is fair for...
