In response to the arrival of aged society, and to demonstrate the principle of “active aging” promoted by WHO, Hondao Senior Citizen’s Welfare Foundation led 17 grandriders with an average age of 81 completed the motorcycle tour around the island in 2007. Since that time, the “Bulao spirit” began to spread in Taiwan. Dreams turn new pages for life, and they continue to thrive into the twilight of their lives. Happened across this beautiful tree-shaded building one day and wow, what a wonderful place! Cozy and cute, this Japanese-era home has been converted into a restaurant/coffee shop. All the treats, meals and drinks are made in-house by the elderly employees who run the place. This is a special project of a nonprofit that cares for the elderly. A great place to slow down and enjoy the warm hospitality. One visit will bring a smile...
