Chun Shui Tang Fengle Branch — Restaurant in Taichung

I always choose Marriott in my trips especially when working. Arrived to the hotel in the evening, figured no benefits at all for Platinum + members. No breakfast, no upgrade for the room and actually very poor service (even the workers try to be nice). The poor service is reflected on every level, got room with that ticket saying I got upgraded. I know the room supposed to be small, but I didn't actually got any upgrade, lowest floor with no view the standard room. I called back to the front desk asking if i can get upgraded to the Deluxe room - the answer was we have limited deluxe rooms (lol what? Ofc you do have limit). With quick call to the manager and 20min waiting in the lobby i got my better room with view 🤷‍♂️ One breakfast I got for free with a token provided for Platinum, I tried it and it was fairly ok. But asking 380+ tax on this breakfast is a joke for my rest of the stay. To summarize, new hotel with low standards but very expensive! inexperienced crew - getting the No first check later answer. The food and tea is good here, but the staff and operation is largely inept. Wait times are obscene for food, and tea. Tables are regularly left filthy for 30-minutes and the staff who take orders seem incredibly incompetent. Outside area is alright except for the smoking campers that litter the area giving it a bit of a ghetto vibe. Just was worried about the food before going for the first time because the two newest reviews were negative. Anyway I went for a dinner. Please look at the pictures, and I have to say the food was really not good. The second dish was filled with what I spit out of my mouth because there was almost all fat.
