Pink.B Bistro & Bar 餐酒館｜下午茶Cafe — Restaurant in Taichung

TLDR - I walked a long way to get here just to find that their policies are dumb and anti customer, so I left.

I walked far across the city to come here and enjoy a beer after work because it had such a great reputation. When I got to the door I was stopped, so I said in Chinese that I just wanted to sit at the bar and have a beer. They asked if I had a reservation even though the entire place was empty. Then they required that I give my name or I couldn’t enter. I said “Why? Im just getting a beer.” They still wouldnt let me in so I just said my name was chocolate “巧克力” and they let me in. Which shows that this policy is meaningless anyway. While we walked toward the bar he said there was a $500 minimum… so I just turned around and walked out… I just wanted a beer. I just wanted to relax, but apparently you can’t do that at this bar without having a reservation, giving your full name and spending more than the price of a beer. This place is GORGEOUS! The entertainment was TOP NOTCH and the music was GREAT!

The drinks situation needs a lot of work. Standing in line twice for one drink as you have to pay first and then go to the other side to stand in line again to get your drink is ridiculous. The drinks are really, really overpriced for the most basic drink. They also seem to clear your drinks before you are done.

The place has so much potential, but maybe caring more about the customer experience would leave guests feeling better...

The atmosphere was awesome, loved every moment being there. And the hookah was great. They even gave us bubble water to play with, it was a great time there.
