Maple Garden is a nice green oasis in the midst of one of the busiest area of Taichung. It is a blessing, if you are one of the lucky inhabitants of the surrounding luxury apartment buildings.
If you are already in the area (Chaoma Bus Station, Taichung National Theater, Tiger City, Mitsukoshi or Top City Department Stores), the park is definitively worthy of a visit. The evening is the best time to visit Maple Valley. At that time Maple Valley attracts local musicians, some street performers. The buildings around glow with lights.

We enjoy walking along the beautiful nature trail which circles the koy-filled pond, where ducks, turtles, koy and chirping birds move about. Music will be heard through the speaker in the heart shaped building. They purposely pump water uphill to create a stream for you to enjoy the sight and sound. Some path are created via stones or wood chips giving you another terrain experience. Because large luxury apartment nearby, the sun was shielded. You could be at the pond edge but it's well shaded .
