Tripod King Hotpot is a chain of restaurants recommended by a friend who is also visiting Taiwan at the same time as us. Since he is a foodie, we decided to give it a try. He told me that there's duck blood (unlimited servings) and that they were "shiok" meaning uber delicious! Reservation in advance is highly recommended and dining time is up to 90 minutes each session. The ribeye beef was exceptionally good. The mala soup base were not too spicy or numbing but I guess you can dictate the level of heat. Food is fresh and service excellent at the Han Kou branch where we ate.
