Mapo Tofu Spaghetti (麻婆豆腐意粉) - NT$310 Finding good vegetarian food in Taiwan isn’t easy, but this place did it right. The Mapo Tofu Spaghetti was one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve had. I’ve enjoyed Mapo Tofu Curry Rice from 7-11 before, so trying it with spaghetti was a new and exciting twist! The surprise ingredient? 油條 (youtiao)! The crispy youtiao combined with the spicy mapo tofu was a perfect blend of textures and flavors. The portion size was great for the price and left me feeling satisfied.
Margherita Pizza (瑪格麗特荷蘭薄餅) - NT$360 I also ordered the Margherita Pizza, and guess what? Youtiao made an appearance here too! The pizza had a thin, crispy crust with a mix of cheeses and butter that made it creamy and delicious. The youtiao added a fun twist to this classic dish.
Vibe Check: The restaurant had a cozy ambiance with lots of greenery. The complimentary toast with truffle sauce was a delightful surprise. The staff were friendly and provided great service. I’ll...
Read moreThis is NOT a vegan restaurant. I’m not even sure if they know what is vegan? Because I placed my order from the very limited vegan choices and they came with dairy cheese or yogurt?????? It’s a rip off indeed (i should have read the reviews before coming). There is minimum spend - one main dish or equivalent per person. And each dish costs like TWD350 on average The food isn’t that great. The pizza looks like a plain wrap with a few ingredients on top + CHEESE that’s not vegan. The fries platter is also quite a sad portion for the price (TWD220).
Sigh. I’m feeling very cheated and scammed of my money by a “vegan restaurant” that charges so much money.
I’ve edited the google maps to show “vegetarian restaurant” now. You’re welcome.
If you’re just on a meatless diet you’ll probably be happy here but not as a strict vegetarian, and especially as a vegan.
Edit: ok i spoke to the crew. They said it wasn’t communicated very...
Read moreThis is a unique spot where they offer vegetarian fares at vegetarian prices. Staffs are friendly and was patient with my lack of understanding of the menu. This place is not cheap, but also not ridiculously pricey, you pay what is expected of a catered diet of vegetarian choices. However, I don’t think this place is vegan friendly as they use some milk products and egg products (as some other reviews have pointed out), so if you are religiously vegan, this place is not for you, but if you want some unique offerings distinct from the typical Taiwanese diet, give...
