Unfortunately I don't understand enough Chinese to see why everyone else gave this place such bad reviews. My wife and I loved it. Unlike to the popular Sichuan restaurant in Taipei, this place is the real deal. Their food packs a serious punch, both to the taste and the pain buds. Rather spicy, full of ma la (numbing spice), and great flavors in each of their dishes.
They speak 0 English here though. I had to stand by their menu and use trusty google translate to help me figure out what was available. We had the mapo tofu, a cold chicken dish, a potato dish, and an eggplant dish. Wish I knew the names of each one but I can tell you they were hella good.

Read more第一次來是大概五年以前的事情,那時候覺得真的是好吃到爆表(本人是非常熱愛吃川菜,尤其是那種又麻又辣的口感,充滿著濃濃的香料味),應該是當時我在台灣吃過最好吃的川菜,吃完之後念念不忘,可惜之後就一直沒有機會再訪
這一次剛好有機會經過,就順道來吃,沒想到整個口味已經完全不復昔日,變得非常的台式
口水雞算是今天點的四道菜中最好吃的,可惜醬汁也是不夠有層次,沒有麻而香的口感,雞肉可能煮太老或冰過頭,覺得很柴,雖然是雞腿肉,但是吃起來卻是雞胸肉的口感,幸好花生還有脆度,算是彌補了一點
道地的川菜土豆絲是大火炒嗆辣,土豆絲要夠脆而且要是細絲(很重刀工),而這邊的土豆絲口感算是有脆度,但是很粗(因為是用刨的不是用切的),酸度和辣度不足,所以沒有什麼香氣,更別說花椒的爆香也是完全沒有顯現出來
高麗菜的做法也是嗆辣,所以口味的問題跟土豆絲一樣,但可能是火候不夠大,這高麗菜也是覺得偏軟,沒有清脆的口感
酸菜魚湯是我今天覺得最失望的一道,整碗看到不酸菜(只有吃到一絲),也沒有酸味,喝起來就像喝白開水加香油,讓我真的很懷疑這湯有熬煮過嗎?(一般酸菜魚應該還會加入綠花椒來提升香氣,這可能也是這湯平淡如水沒有香氣的原因?!)
整體而言,這餐廳對我來說真的是退步到極致,不知道是為了要降低成本(因為真正的川菜香料很重要,要用的好成本就很高)、還是為了要符合台南人的口味?!真的是非常可惜😬😬😬
