Legumes — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

Tried this restaurant a few months ago with some friends. Sometimes they have some pets around the restaurant. It was a very good experience so we decided to come back. Dined today for lunch with my wife. We got the set meal. Comparing from our first visit, prices seem to went up by around 50%. Set menu consists of multiple small dishes (snack, appetizer, salad, soup, dessert, and a beverage) together with a main dish. The prices of the main dish does not differ much from the set meal so it would be better to get the set meal. The Melons/Prosciutto/Cheese/Fig served was also very nice. However the cheese was substituted to mozzarella (it was supposed to be burrata from the menu) This time, we decided to get the Iberico pork ribeye cap with Poivre sauce and the Austrailian grain-fed black angus chuck flap steak with chimichurri. Both were good but we liked the pork dish better. The main dishes are served with some roasted vegetables and a very light mashed potato (like a potato mousse). The service was also very good. From the moment I stepped into Légumes, I felt enveloped by the genuine warmth of the staff. The service was impeccable—attentive and thoughtful in every detail. The food itself was a delightful surprise; while I initially assumed it was a purely vegetarian spot, they graciously crafted a four-course vegan meal that was both vibrant and satisfying.

I was pleasantly surprised and genuinely delighted when they told me that if I wasn’t full, they’d happily bring me more appetizers— at no extra cost. It’s a beautiful example of their generosity and commitment to guest satisfaction.

The atmosphere exudes kindness, creating a space that feels welcoming and serene. Légumes is more than a meal; it’s an experience filled with care and positivity. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a place where flavor and warmth go...

I was already taken back by the absolutely stellar service by Anna (店長). Shamefully, I tucked away my initial good feeling and reserved the rest for the meal. I was not disappointed by the meal.

My meal was a clean and extravagant explosion of color and taste. Just look at the photo and look at the extra little bonus on the egg. excellent taste compliment aside, it shows an intention to present the dish as pleasantly as possible.

I will refrain from singing more praise about this place in fear of starting to sound disingenuous.

It’s a jewel found all the way in Zhong li and it will be my go to place before visiting the mix live bar...
