We had a two-day transit in Taoyuan City, Taiwan (outside Taipei) coping over jetlag. Out of curiosity and to try different cuisine we searched online for possible Indonesian restaurants in the neighborhood. We were thrilled to have discovered Marimar that offers a variety of snacks (emping, kerupuk udang and various crackers, lemper, risoles, etc), drinks and of course, main dishes. As much as we'd have liked to order more, such as Tempeh, Masak Ayam or Soto we chose Lontong Sayur and Rendang Sapi, the gold standard of Indo resto. The flavor of both transported us back to Indonesia specifically North Sumatra where I grew up where flavor focuses much less on Sweet Soya Sauce, more on other spices. And compared to other Indo resto in Europe and North America, Miramar didn't oversalt it. We highly recommend Miramar and are looking forward to going back in the future.
