Granted the atmosphere is pleasant with a sea view. But it all end here! The service is atrocious, while waiting our turn we were ask to wait outside in the rain, when they have a perfectly comfortable waiting area with a bench within the cafe. We are ask to leave and wait for phone calls from them. We explain that we are foreigners and do not have a local phone number as stated in the requirement in the waiting list. Nonetheless, they refuse to let use the waiting are. Disappointed, we left… As we step out of the door, someone came out and told us that there is a table without window view and asked if we wanted it. We are ok with that and proceed to sit down around a communal table.
Was told there is a minimum spending of NTD$300 per person and we proceed to order our drinks and desserts. While waiting for the food, came a service staff asking for payment (only in cash).. sigh. They are afraid that people will run away without paying? By the way, I notice that they bribe customer with free dessert if you give them a 5 stars rating with comments. I think that’s how to achieved such high rating in google.
About the cakes and coffee.. mediocre and nothing to call home about… meh~
Overall experience?...
Read moreTLDR: good food and drinks, a little expensive and has a gorgeous view. But sooo many people taking photos and ruining the atmosphere. The food was good and the drinks were ok! Everyone who worked there was so nice. We were upstairs where there was no AC but the staff offered many cooling towels and it was great! Like others have said, there is a time maximum, you have to purchase a drink at 300nt purchase with a 10% gratuity. It kind of feels like gratuity for what? We ordered food and drinks and they brought it. With the high prices, I would think they can afford to pay their staff well. Still, while every table has a great view of the ocean many people come upstairs to take pictures. This both blocks the view of the ocean and kind of ruins the atmosphere. We spent our whole time eating and awkwardly watching people take pictures. I wish the staff could have a better balance where they either reserve the area as a place only for photos, or ask people to limit their time taking pictures in the upstairs balcony. In our case there were two very large groups taking pictures blocking the view of the ocean and making it so no one else could use the space for photos and...
Read moreThe main point of visiting here is the views. The food was surprisingly good. 牛肉丸披薩讚. The portion size is small, but again you’re paying for the view and vibe. Honestly I do not see the point in paying a “Service fee”, had to hand the menu with my drawings to the counter, but they collected the money at the table. If the staff was extremely polite or smiling I could see the point, but today it was just another waiter with a normal attitude. Additionally, there was no WiFi (Does that not count as service?) and 5 waiters for just a few customers today, I honestly think the place could be managed better in this regard. The water was placed at the table and the customers had to pour it themselves. All in all, I think it is worth to come here for the views and vibes, however the so-called service fee seems to be nothing more than a way to collect some...
