WooS Bar — Restaurant in Toucheng Township

I had LINED them earlier to make a reservation at 6.30pm. While they didn't exactly confirm it, they didn't reply to say they are full either and my message was left at read. When we reached, they were full but when the young server (she looked like the daughter of the owner who was also the chef) saw the LINE message I showed her, she sat us at a smaller table first as we waited for a bigger table that was about to finish. She was so polite and apologetic and offered us free tea while we waited. I love that service attitude and her quick reflex in dealing with situations / service recovery. This girl will go far when she grows up.

As we had a late lunch, we weren't too hungry, so ordered just a few dishes to share. The 盐酥鸡 tasted like it came out of a frozen pack, wasn't expecting it to be made fresh anyway. They are famous for their Braised Beef Noodles and I'm glad we got to try it. The noodles were Q, the soup was flavourful and hearty especially in this rainy weather, generous portion of beef, the meat was chunky yet tender and melt-in-your-mouth. Probably one of our best meal in Taiwan. The beef noodle soup was delicious and the seafood soup was to die for! Place is managed by a middle age couple and the wife cooks everything. The braised items and dessert were so yummy too!a place you need to visit when in Yilan and I heard their clam soup is also very good! Will definitely be back!

We stayed at a hotel close to the restaurant and it was the only place that was still open late in the evening. The review is very high so we decided to give it a try. Especially our Korean friend wanted to try beef noodles and hadn't gotten the chance yet. When she tried it she was delighted at how fresh it tasted. You can really feel the heart and effort they put into the food and the quality of the ingredients they use. Service and atmosphere are great. The couple that runs this place asked us if we enjoy the food and it was also served very quickly. They even adapted the menu to specific vegetarian needs. We really enjoyed it here.
