Takao Super Kunming Branch — Restaurant in Wanhua District

I visited here with my family on my family trip and my driver made a reservation for us cause we don’t speak Taiwanese. However when we got there, staffs all of sudden didn’t allow us to get in the restaurant because we are Koreans. We got in eventually after arguments but she was very rude without any clue and we were very embarrassed as we didn’t know why. A man looks like the manager changed a server in charge of our tables as she was almost yelled us while serving. I wasn’t bothered by people like that cause I met so many nicer people in Taiwan but for sure it wasn’t grateful memory for our family. Anyway foods was pretty good and the place was clean, but won’t recommend this place...

This has been the best steamboat experience I had in Taiwan so far. First of all, the hygiene of the restaurant was fantastic. All the food items was displayed outside the restaurant all wrap in cling wrap and to be purchased before going in to cook them with the choice of the soup base that was chosen. Highly recommend the stone pot soup base which was rich in garlic and onion taste as they were fried before adding soup inside. They also provide free dish which includes instant noodles and stewed pork rice (highly recommended). Spent around NT$846 for 2 pax during my visit here. We had a blast coming into this restaurant. We only paid 589 NTD for an unlimited hotpot with a wide variety and meats to choose from. We had no reservations but were quick to get seats since the area was large.

The meat was really tender and tasty once cooked in the broth. Ice creams were also very delicious. Staff were very friendly and were easy to interact with despite the language barrier.
