SUPER RUDE and UNPRoFESSIONAL STAFF!
We’ve arranged a special family trip to Taiwan and celebrate our mum’s 82 years old birthday. We planned to have dinner there to celebrate my mum big day.. However, we had a worst and unpleasant experience / encounter with staff worked in Takao 1972 kunming restaurant (cannot remember his name, kindly check the CCTV On 7 Oct 23, 1937hrs, we were attended by a young guy)- when we attempted to make the payment for 5 pax, the above mentioned staff requested us to choose 5 different “soup base”. We would like to seek clarification why need to choose 5 different type of soup base/ how it works.
However, instead of explain the hot pot meal that offered by Takao 1972 restaurants, he raised “VOICE” and “SHOUTED” at us!!! I cannot imagine what we had encountered there, don’t think we deserved such an unpleasant, sub standard service and unprofessional service line staff (sincerely hope that the management of Takao 1972 kunming restaurant can investigate the above incident). We just walked off without having the dinner there! Really ruined our day,!!!!!
We were traumatised by the incident above!!!!!!
Advice to all non Taiwanese visitor/ Consumers/ tourists, PLEASE THINk TWICE BEFORE ENTER THIS RESTAURANT, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE GREETED with the RUDE, UNFRIENDLY and UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!!!! GET all the SCOLDING WITHOUt NOTHInG!!! And SPOIL/ RuIN YOUR HOLiDAY!!!!
The image of TAiwan down to DRAIN because of all ThESE people!!!! Should get a stern warning and disciplinary action against the staff...
Read moreI came upon this hot pot restaurant after failing to get a table at the neighbouring Mala hotpot store. Normal dinner price is NT598 nett. Waited till 9pm to get the promotional price of NT398. Was impressed with the interior. Compared to the neighbouring restaurant, it was very spacious, and your clothes will not stink with the cooking smell. Service was very fast and attentive.
Cons: Compared with normal price and promotional price is that one of the premium beef and sashimi were removed. No free flow beer like other stores. No dessert. Limited drink choices. Limited sauce choices.
Pros: No service charges or hidden cost (in small prints), no long queue. Soup base taste good. Soup are provided to individuals and not the typical 2-in-1 type.
Photos shown are the basic ingredients given upon seated, and customers will be provided with additional ordering slips to choose whatever additional ingredients they want.
Beef and pork slices were also provided but photo was not taken as I'm very hungry by then.
I did not give 5 stars as I personally felt that if compared with normal dinner price, the lack of desserts and limited choices in drinks and sauces compared to other restaurants overshadowed the benefit of 'no...
Read moreVisited Taipei for my birthday & decided to celebrate at Takao with my family (8 of us in total). I first checked the rates & spoke with their hostess, who was nice and tried her best to speak English. I told her I would check other options in the area first and will come back shortly.
Not having found other suitable options for our big group, I went back to Takao, this time with their male host receiving guests but also mopping the floor. He & the sushi chef looked at me then proceeded to do their business. I said “excuse me” so I could secure our seats and at which point, the male host threw his mop and muttered something in Mandarin under his breath. Obviously I became more than agitated. This is not the treatment nor the service I expected from a restaurant that charges nearly $600 per head.
Thankfully their manager (a nice lady) took over and seated our group. She also apologized for her staff’s behavior and took care of us for the rest of the evening.
Meat selection is okay; what saved the day was the different soup variants & the selection of (non-alcoholic) drinks. Also didn’t like being interrupted from my dinner to pay for our meals before...
