日月餐坊 — Restaurant in Yuchi Township

Terrible customer service!! Visited this restaurant on a weekday evening, all tables were occupied so the staff instructed us to reserve for a slot. Nightmare began, this restaurant deserves the worst ranking!

The staff didn’t arrange a proper waiting area for customers. We had no choice but to stand outside the restaurant where the main road located with vehicles passing by - absolutely poor arrangement for the waiting customers!

We waited for an hour and our reservation time passed.... This was unfair for us and their customer service was unacceptable as they never took the initiative to explain the circumstances and the extra waiting time.

We noticed that 2 batches of customers were going to leave; being too hungry and without being informed of the waiting time, we went in to ask about waiting time. The staff showed no eagarness nor patience to serve people and 2 of the younger female staff kept shouting in Mandarin “Not yet!/ Not your turn yet!” - so impolite!

We were quite angry and made a complaint to a senior female staff and prepared to leave.

Then something worse happened: a man (probably the boss of the restaurant) acted violently, wanted to kick and hit us! He was stopped by a lady otherwise we would have to...

FOOD: I think this restaurant deserves more than the mean 4.3 on google for its food, at least 4.5 or 4.6. It serves very tasty traditional Thao food, the portions are generous and well presented. SERVICE: nothing to say, the service as efficient as anywhere else we went RECEPTION: we went for diner around 7:15 pm. As expected there were several parties waiting ahead of us. The lady at the reception told us that there was about 15 min of waiting, and we wouldn’t have other choice than the 2 persons set. She was calm and even ready to translate to us everything on the menu, she had to do things quickly as many people weren’t waiting but wasn’t aggressive. We accepted, waited for 10 min and had a good time. I guess it depends on what mood you are in and if you are ready to accept what they suggest. PRICE: may be a bit more expensive than other restaurant in Shuishe, the 2 persons set were...

Aka Sun Moon restuarant. Excellent food. Average service, casual decor, clean restaurant, reasonably priced.

The food was served hot and with excellent presentation. The quality and taste were excellent. The portion sizes were average. The service and atmosphere were average.

Several things I did not like. First, they use paper cups for tea and the tea was not hot. Second, the chop sticks / utensils were not wrapped. Finally, when they bring out your last dish, they bring out the complementary desert (some pineapple fruit) at the same time.

Overall, it was a nice meal but a couple of small changes would have made it an outstanding dining experience ( ie. ceramic tea cups, better quality & hot tea, wrapped chop sticks soft music, etc).
