Was unsure of what to eat on our first night at sun moon lake and came across this store that serves up traditional local food. Our server suggested the two person combo for 800NTD plus a 10% service charge. There was a really good amount of food for two people and I would even say that if you have a small appetite you could share this between 3 people. The grilled wild boar was my favorite dish. Smoky, crunchy and the texture was super different that regular pork, the additional of the lime was very nice as well, giving it another flavour profile that really enhanced the dish. Stir fry 过猫 is also something i have never tried before which I really enjoyed the taste of. The soup was a bit earthy with some medicin flavours and was nice and warm after a rainy day. Lastly, I believe the dessert was a hibiscus tea with basil seeds which was super refreshing after a greasy meal. Overall I would say this was a wonderful experience to have at sun moon lake because you will most likely never have food like this...
Read moreThe set for 2 person was a waste of food that made us felt very guilty for wasting foods. There's no service except the waitress brought you a paper cup of water, paper bowls chopsticks and dishes that you ordered. The food tastes okay nothing to shout out. Too much foods for 2 person that was recommended by waitress. We originally want to order 2 meat dish and 1 vegetable. But she tried so hard to convinced us to order the set menu. 1000NT plus 100 NT service charge wasn't a big deal but a big amount of foods waste made me think of donation that made for starving poor people around the world. The complimentary dragon fruit shell soup was serve as the dessert but came all together with the hot meal. By the time we finished our hot meal the ice all melted. It was not really good service oriented kind of...

BUT this lovely restaurant offers its only 1-person tasting menu! Its already a feast of its own, with the signature dishes, local ferns veggies, warm herbal soup, and top it off goji berry, ginger dessert soup that is on the house~
Compared to the other restaurants, this has top my charts in superb local aboriginal taste, variety and value for money ( compared with ordering dishes on its own). I didn't hesitate to visit twice in consecutive days~ what...
