Went for dinner tonight with my wife and two kids 4/9/2024 at 6:30PM.We didn’t stay at this hotel, we stayed 5 mins away by walk and wanted to have a clean environment hotel buffet dinner. Or so that’s what we assumed.
For the price advertised of 880$ per adult for dinner for a buffet + 10% service fee, I expected a bit more.. at 6:30Pm it felt like we were eating leftovers out there from the whole day.. the food wasn’t even hot, the cold food wasn’t even cold.. everything like warm barely warm all OBVIOUSLY in the temperature danger zone.
Food looked like it had literally been sitting there for a whole day, most of the cold plates with only 10% left and mostly only the juices of the dish remaining..The fried food are sitting under a lamp that is suppose to keep the food warm but of course it’s barely even room temp.. soggy , cold and sad.
The sashimi station well.. very underwhelming .. the salmon obviously frozen and waterlogged from the color , I wouldn’t even dare to eat it.. as the bottom layer is sitting on ice meanwhile the top layer is exposed to the humid air of nantou.. if you are not getting food borne I’llness.. then you need to buy a lotto ticket asap.
The so called roast beef sat under a red heat lamp that didn’t really heat, picked a piece up and it has a crust from being exposed to the air for so long and totally oxidized and crusty. Next to they was a cheese covers seafood shell that I wouldn’t even dare attempt to pick up unless I wanted a one way ticket to the emergency room.
The sesame oil lions mane mushrooms or as advertised was only a cheap mix of local mushrooms , no lions mane to be found at all. Then don’t call it 麻油猴頭菇,如果裡面沒有猴頭菇..
They even had an issue with cross contamination, having the lamb dishes in the same chaffing dish as the pork ribs .. but why? Two different animals and they should be separated to prevent contamination and for those who don’t eat lamb or pork..
They have a beef shabu station in which you take the raw beef and dip into a pot of water to go with a beef soup .. the beef is half on ice the top is oxidized and I can assure you not to proper temperature.. the broth that you are suppose to dip it into it cloudy, dirty and full of animal scum/protein and looks as if the water hasn’t been changed since the morning service…
I could go on and on.. it’s saddening!Such a disappointment of a buffet dinner.. doesn’t matter how much the cost is.. even it it was free.. this is a health hazard.
no buffet / person deserves this level of a crummy buffet set up.. horrendous quality, food safety is not up to standards, and I recommend the health inspectors to check up one day soon before you guys really get some one seriously sick.
FULI management team, I sincerely hope you read this and give your team and food and beverage managers a class in food safety and service. You have a Beautiful hotel but your food is far...
Read moreLOCATION:This resort is located near shuishe pier (like a 5-7 min walk) which is convenient for you to get around the lake but not free though. Personally think will prefer to stay around the ITA Shao area, more food and activities like the kiddy boat paddling, canoeing, aqua biking and stand-up paddling. However, there's this particular restaurant "SUN MOON Restaurant " is a MUST VISIT! Its just opposite the resort and their food is so so so good with very unique plating like 5* standard but they closed at 8pm, so be there early to avoid disappointment. Overall, location is ok only.CLEANLINESSAcceptable but the interior is a bit old and there's a good thick layer of dust on one of the ceiling plank (cos my kids were throwing their toys around and it hit that plank which saw a smoke of dust flying) but not crucial as that area is not a high touch area.SERVICEGood.... but a bit delayed.... it was raining when we arrived and we had a difficult time trying to offload the luggages with 2 kids. The staff came up to us only after we had pulled down our luggages and waiting in the shelter for my husband to park the car. Nonetheless, its still helpful.... throughout the stay, service was ok.... Breakfast so so... FACILITIESGood... they have a recreational area with kids play area, pool table, table tennis, handplay arcade football and comuputer games like Nintendo and PS5 all for free....they also have KTV and mahjong rooms but these come at a cost. There's also a multi-purpose area whereby they have microwave, coffee machine and ample seating area for those who prefer to eat in or have some late night snacks. In Summary, we did enjoyed our stay but of course, nothing is perfect... "when you are in Rome, follow what the...
Read moreMy family of 5 stayed for one night on May 17th. Room Nice, large and clean Bathroom highlights: have your own hot spring tub. I was good, but wish it is a bit bigger and also fill up faster. 6 minutes isn't bad, but not when you are waiting anxiously. It is also nice to switch between that and the big shower with the oversize shower head. I really felt my body coming back to life.
Service Generally, the service is decent, the staff is nice. However, I liked to give special recognization to Melinda (I think she is a customer manager or lobby manager). She was the one processed us on the first day and was quite polite and courteous, and took her time to explain the various features/benefits. However, what stands out is on the last day, when I came back to retrieved our checked-in luggage (we were doing more sight seeing and decided to leave the luggage at the hotel); she noticed that there is rain and insisted on giving us a ride to the bus stop. I think that reflects very WELL when you treat your customers that way even after that they had checked out. I just want to give a shouts out to her! I would come back to this hotel just because of that. The hotel breakfast is also surprisingly very good. There is a good mix of taiwanese dishes and the western dishes to choose from and a lot of varieties of drinks also.
Location Location is not bad at all... It is close to the (5 minutes) bus stop when you can take a bus "ride" and stop along the various tourist sites.
I don't write reviews a lot and didn't really take pics for this......
