The place has 3, stops from the Pier.
2nd Pier You can buy a Chinese Tea Egg which is famous in the whole Taiwan. You won't miss it but to go before 1630hours in order not to miss it(Said by the the operator whom is driving the boat). For the second, You can walk up the flight of stairs to the Pagoda.
3rd Pier The place is reasonably crowded but definitely better compared to Feng Chia Night market. The place offers many snacks and food also there is a self peddle boat(not free) and cable car which can bring you to another location. The pier ends their service at 1700 hours. People in the area are friendly and generally helpful. There a re restaurants and food stalls around the area, bike rentals, souvenir shops, and boat rides to the lake, among many interesting and fun things to visit and do. Would definitely love to go back. Highly recommended for everyone - solo travellers, business travellers, travelling friends, couples, families... everyone! One could just quietly sit and meditate at the pier plaza and it would be totally worth it. Love the views and the atmosphere of this place. I highly recommend getting up early for a morning stroll or a bike ride...
